Just thought I would give you a heads up. We will be rolling out the new ATKHairy code base soon, target date is 5/26/2010. We had to push this back a few days, found a bug that needs squashing.

Also we are going to be changing the URL from atkhairy.amkingdom.com to www.atkhairy.com. The old domain will redirect to the new domain.

Changes:
Log In Changes
We are making it easier to log in. The Captcha/code will not appear on your first attempt to log on. If you fail your first log on attempt it will then require you to verify that you are indeed human by asking for the captcha/code.

Why do we do this? To protect your account, We used to receive on average twenty thousand log on attempts by hackers a day trying to "brute force" the system and find your passwords. With the captcha this has decreased dramatically to near 0 attempts.

LOUNGE AUTO-LOGIN
When logging in, you will automatically be logged into the lounge if two conditions are met.
1) You lounge username and hairy username are the same.
2) Your passwords for both sites are the same.
If your site name is not currently a lounge member, the system will create it and log in with it on first log into the new hairy code base.

We are working on a more in-depth system, that allows you to link your site user to a different lounge user so you can have the same lounge user even if you cancel and come back later. How-ever this will not be ready in time for the latest code release.

Discuss Buttons/Links
We will be adding discuss buttons that will link directly to the lounge. When clicked it will add or send you to a topic for that model/shoot/movie. The topics will be added to the Hairy Content discussion forum.

Improved code
We have streamlined our code and made improvements, using new technologies such as memcache and lustre to improve our back-end and speed things up.

New CDN Provider
CDN stands for content distribution network. We are partnering with Limelight Networks to provide a faster delivery network for our content to you.
